FOMO is a MOFO

I have an incurable case of FOMO.

Until it came to time when time was valuable and suddenly, FOMO became the enemy of valuing your own time. FOMO lures me out of myself and whispers that I should be doing something else, often replacing gratitude with ‘not enough’, by the weapon of comparison. As long as we aren’t missing out on our lives, it works.

However, over a cup of iconic lattes from Carrera Cafe in Los Angeles digitally imprinted with feelings and quotable sensations, I found that time must be valued, because it is the most valuable of them all. A non orderly facet of the learnings of coffee and time. Particularly relevant as 2020 comes to a close and 2021 commences and we approach it with trepidation.

Time is non refundable, so use it with intention.

Someone’s timely effort is a reflection of their interest in you.

Time is a human construct. To say “I don’t have time” is to say “I don’t want to”.

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wise.

Time is the biggest luxury, because you cannot get it back.
