Classic whites?
We could be talking about more than just underwear.
For this was the SS18 rendition of Bench/Body Underwear at New York Fashion Week Mens (NYFWM).
Unlike last season which was clad in natural light, the metallic studio setting of a white backdrop was the ambiance for a hunky assembly line of muscular boys pearly jewels in low-cut and underwear. Bench/Body presented their second NYFWM collection targeted primarily at men but with a sprinkling for women too. As a leader of underwear in the Philippines, theirs was a premium quality set of jewel protecting underwear, which ranged from simple and basic to downright sexy.
With a list of a-list models, the collection boasted of two solid and contrasting themes. The first was a hybrid tropical, which included prints in the likes of fanning leaves, palms, forest greens and floral accents. Bold colors and piping, alongside prominent lettering on straps was a key distinguisher.
The second, an ode to the classics, was more white with tropical side prints. Retaining the classicism of white underwear and styles, the tropical side prints brought out a fun element.
With a watering hole of wine as onlookers gazed at the collection, it was evident that the underwear business was booming, and how!
