To celebrate the 75th anniversary of America’s favorite staple candy, M&Ms, I had the privilege of attending the synchronization of four key talents in the world of tech, fashion, art and history at the Visionaire World and KAWS: A VR EXPERIENCE.

Visionaire conceptualizes and produces films, public art installations, experiences, branded content, art multiples, and products. KAWS made this a debut into virtual reality, depicting a fun and intriguing visual of pop-culture animations, with refined graphic tones, bold colors and playful characters. M&M’S is the original candy that “melts in your mouth, not in your hand™.” Making history with its colors and characters, the blend with KAWS and Visionaire was impeccable. The event was hosted at the New York Public Library (NYPL), a historic landmark in New York and a provider of continuous educational programs.

So what was the event itself? A synchrony of immersive technology in virtual reality, where we watched the artist transform his working environment into swirling colors, animated characters, who took the canvas onto themselves to create a fun, mischievous and chaotic story of art and fun. It was truly a blend of reality and imagination, of animation and real life objects, art and craft, all in contrast with the historic architecture of the NYPL, bubbling to life with champagne and M&M treats (did you say M&M cookies?).
