Gothic Rock ‘n Roll with Manuel Facchini at MFW

Gothic rock n’ roll with a dash of electric water – sounds risque doesn’t it?

A foray into Milan Fashion Week (MFW) once again commenced with Manuel Facchini’s signature gothic and rock ‘n roll styles, what with a combination of red, white and black in a dungeon-esque ambiance of party centric Navigli, Milano. Yours truly, having just stepped out of a Herno Anniversary party, was clad in comparably summer vibes with DKNY.

The collection was a military and rather dark, wintery look for spring SS19. There were cutouts and gladiator sandals gone heel-wise, with army jackets, long skirts with longer slits, wrap dresses, and a plethora of cut outs across the board. While the one slit asymmetric dresses screamed eveningwear with haute appeal, the majority were street chic cutout dresses that were definitely for the bolder women. The era of tight and skinny leather pants and biker bombers made a comeback, making it a bold, punchy and macho feminine line.
