Personal Menswear Picks in Red, White and Blue

Whats your favorite color?
Mine changes all the time, like my mood.

But when celebrating the red, the white and the blue, I find it fairy easy to conform to each hue with my own personal style. Lookbook legacies are a facet of my life, after all.

Red is my favorite color, seconded sporadically by gold. Which is why, when given an opportunity, I lustily adorn myself in it. They say the king of the jungle is a lion. But what if it was the glorious zebra, robed in magnificent, hot red? On a royal pedestal, no less. The night is dark and shimmering, where ferocity pulsates the blood of animals that roam the wild. My set consists of purple ostriches and red hunters running astray, with their surroundings glittering in a mirage of thirst. In the cosmopolitan nightlife of Hollywood, known to all as city of dreams that sneak beneath shadows, I sit in ferocious animal print, symbolic, poised and ready for the succulent night. I dare, and that’s why I am. King. Pairing a deep, passionate, dangerous red with itself: a red leather jacket by Manish Malhotra and skinny red Diesel jeans. Yet, judge me not, for I have the heart of a zebra but the charm of a velvet tailed lion. Leaving behind a scented trail with embroidered Giorgio Brutini shoes that leave no footprint. For to find this man, you must indulge.

And secondly we have white, my mother’s favorite color and naturally inherited to her own style successor himself. If anything, your clothes can tell a story. And this is one about a Problem Child. When swarming in lace hued 99 problems by Zara, speaking of somber nights, catapulted with biceps emerging from tanned bodices, you know there is more to this Vegas endeavor than planned for. My Giorgio Armani leather pants marry the Milanese studded high tops by Philipp Plein with enough of a silver studded sparkle to qualify as white, and with enough fiery to call it the morning after. On the other hand there is beachy slit tee tanktop combined with a blonde signature to tell another story altogether.

Blue is the last color in this wheel.  The color that Earth is made of. And think about it. Without ART, the eARTh would be eh. I love art, and live for it. I also (shamelessly) love sunglasses. These are big, bold and blue. I found this pair of Illesteva glasses at the trending runway shows of New York, I whisked them back all the way to Los Angeles. The site of the photoshoot here is the iconic Venice Beach, far from my usual Hollywood hideaways, complete with over the top colors and a big bug eyed bug. My own private wonderland. If you look closely this is a tale of juxtaposition: We have a beachy tanktop by Topman with these gigantic blue sunglasses and a simple pair of summer denim shorts to complete the story. But my favorite piece is the zebra shoes in blood red leather, a favorite combination by Dutch based M Farkess which I found in Amsterdam.

In case it wasn’t obvious, I travel relentlessly. For if life is a book, then without travel, you are simply reading the same page, over and over again.

Happy reds, whites and blues till your next air ticket.
